Description
A lighter touring bike means you can take more with you, but low weight is no good without strength. That’s why, for the CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid C:62, we used our tried-and-tested C:62® carbon to build a frame structure that combines the load-bearing capacity you need with the comfort and ride handling that you’d expect from CUBE. With a UDH derailleur hanger, Advanced Internal Cable Routing and Boost front and rear axles, it’s both elegant and easy to live with. The rigid carbon fork is light and responsive, while the IC 3.0 rear carrier is adaptable and offers a sturdy platform for carrying whatever you need to take with you. Add the 400Wh battery, and it’s the complete package for lightweight hybrid touring.
With its C:62® carbon frame and rigid carbon fork, the Cube Kathmandu Hybrid C:62 SLX has the same rugged appeal as its illustrious forbears, but with a focus on lower weight. The smooth Bosch SX motor and 400Wh battery continue the svelte theme, delivering up to 60Nm of torque via Shimano’s wide-ranging XT 1×12 gears and rugged Newmen Beskar 30 wheels shod with grippy Schwalbe G-One Overland Evo 50mm tyres. There is, of course, a full complement of practical accessories so you’re ready for anything, whether it’s a trip across town or overland. And, with powerful Shimano Deore hydraulic disc brakes, you can slow and stop safely in all weather conditions. It may be light, but it’s no lightweight.
Easy Entry:
The CUBE Kathmandu Hybrid C:62’s Easy Entry frame isn’t just straightforward to ride and elegant in its simplicity – it’s also extremely sophisticated and adaptable. Built from our proven C:62® carbon for the best blend of strength and low weight, we incorporated the Bosch 400Wh battery inside the frame structure for clean looks and the best dust and splash protection. Advanced Internal Cable Routing complements the frame’s organic appearance and the neat, versatile IC 3.0 rear carrier provides a sturdy, adaptable platform for all your carrying needs. Precise, nimble steering is handled by the full carbon fork, and we used Boost axles front and rear to ensure stable handling even when fully loaded. We like to think we’ve thought of everything…
