Since our inception in 2004, Cyclewise has evolved from a small team of four—Sue, Rich, Craig, and Amy—into a dynamic and skilled group of 26 professionals. Each member of our team brings a wealth of knowledge and a deep love for cycling to the table. Our growth is a testament to our unwavering commitment to our motto: “making it happen.” We strive to deliver exceptional service, expert advice, and comprehensive solutions to cater to all your cycling needs.

Our Journey 

In 2004, Rich and Craig pioneered the UK’s first SMBLA mountain bike leadership course, which led to their collaboration with British Cycling on the development of the British Mountain Bike Leader Awards. By 2010, they were the first British Cycling mountain bike tutors to deliver these new awards. That same year, we launched our own coaching trail, which has become a hub for coaching and skills courses for the past nine years.

Since our inaugural Bikeability delivery in 2005, we have proudly contributed to the evolution of cycling proficiency with this transformative training program. Over the past 13 years, we have been dedicated to equipping over 50,000 children across Cumbria with essential cycling skills, ensuring a safer and more enjoyable biking experience for the younger generation.

In 2007, Cyclewise played a pivotal role in the development of the renowned bike trails at Whinlatter. Collaborating closely with Forestry England, we helped create the exceptional trail center that cycling enthusiasts enjoy today.

Our journey continued with the grand opening of the Cyclewise Whinlatter Shop on June 9, 2008. This was followed by the launch of Cyclewise Cockermouth on December 15, 2015, despite the challenges posed by Storm Desmond on that day!

Throughout the years, our commitment to excellence has been recognised with numerous industry awards, underscoring our passion for delivering top-notch service. Our journey so far has been filled with achievements, and we remain as committed as ever to providing the exceptional service that defines us.
