With the Altura Trail red and Blue trails only 100 metres from our shop it’s only right that you hit the trail with all the best that Altura have to offer, we stock all the latest Altura range of bike clothing and also stock various Camelbacks and a wide variety of other trail kit that we personally use on a daily basis as Mountain Bike Guides and SMBLA Course Providers. "If we don’t wear it or use it we don’t stock it".

Have a look at the video on the left of the final descent on the North Loop to get a feel for the trail. 

Our Hire Centre has up to 50 Cube bikes available to hire and these are ideal for use on both the Altura Trail and new Blue Route or just for riding around and exploring Whinlatter's wonderful forest and scenery. Hire Bikes can be pre-booked on 017687-78711 so that you can arrive safe in the knowledge that your bikes are waiting for you. We also have a small number of bikes available for hire on the day. Our bike hire charges are £20 per day or £15 for three hours. We also have a range of full suspension 'demo' bikes available for hire at £40 for the whole day. As a Shimano Approved Workshop & Cytech approved centre we have after only two years been awarded the Cytech gold award as recognition of our 9th position in the top 50 best Cytech shops in the UK.What better guarantee of great customer service for you.

All our staff are a minimum Cyctech Level 2 bike mechanics and we can provide a full service facility to get your bike serviced or when the need arises our guides can fix trail induced repair jobs to keep you on the trail.

Enviromentally friendly bikewash facilities are also available close to the shop at a cost of £1, a small selection of tools are also available free to use.

 We offer a full range of courses from our dedicated MTB Centre offering exceptional professional delivery and value for money all the time, every time. Whether this be on SMBLA qualification courses or our own Skills / Mechanics courses we will make sure your time with us is an experience you won’t forget for all the right reasons.

NEW FOR 2010 During the summer holiday periods we will be offering a Family Skills Training package (Please see our Family Skills page for more information) but also our brand New Cyclewise Academy & under 18's MTB weekend courses.
