This 2 day course is aimed at those riders heading off to the Alps this summer, particularly those competing in the Mega Avalanche race in the Alp D'Huez.
Day 1 The course will start by looking at bike set up and any alterations that can be made to adjust your bike for the Alps. We will then look at suitable kit to both wear and take with you. Then the extra fun bit, getting skilled for alpine riding. We will be concentrating on flow, carrying speed with no effort, pacing and overtaking. The day will finish on mass riding from fire road to singletrack.
Day 2 The aim on day 2 is to take all your newly aquired skills to some technical areas to make them work when it really counts. This will be done on a local ride so will include some uphill riding (you are going to need the practice for Mega!)
Bike Choice Whatever you plan to ride in the Alps is the bike you should bring along with you. ( if you are riding Mega Avalanche remember you need to pedal it uphill as well as down!!!)
Riding Kit Body Armour and Full Face are optional, however these are required for Mega Avalanche, so bring them along with you if you have entered this event along with a normal helmet.
Pedal Choice Flats or SPD's - you choose
Riding Bag and Spares Please bring these along too.
