SMBLA
Thanks for a cracking 3 days, I learnt loads and not just about biking. Bike stuff I learnt included, changing a tyre without levers, starting on the small sprocket to correct the indexing, why not to patch, what a tyre boot is, pros and cons of bells and whistles and effectiveness of front brake versus rear, to name a few..
Thanks again, you have inspired me beyond what I expected from a 3 day bike course.

In particular Craig's clear open and upbeat presentation was an example I know I, even as a teacher, should work towards. Also, Rich's balanced consideration of how cycling fits into the bigger picture, after challenging our own prejudices, raised my awareness of what lays beyond my blinkers.

Richard's 'how not to' (at Tilberthwaite) on the assessment day really smacked home, to the point of embarrassment, the futility of my little 'safety measures' when I feel out of my depth.

The most powerful thing I saw was demonstrated by a bike with nobody on it ie. Craig's downhill skills section. This demo had the biggest impact on my riding of the whole three days and I now feel much more confident tackling rough downhill.

Just a quick e-mail to say thanks for a really wonderful few days up in the Lakes. Perfect! Anyway you guys really made it fun. You're both real 'bike heads' 

Guiding/Coaching
Just a quick message to say thank you for the excellent weekend we had in the Lakes. Me, Alex, Ade & Neil had a fantastic time being guided by Nick, he showed us some excellent riding, climbing, downhills, scenery etc and we've all been blown away it, it was truly awesome. His guidance and knowledge of the area was superb, a really professional and friendly chap and we all got on great. We really appreciated all he did for us this weekend and to top it off the weather was beautiful too.

Can I pass on my thanks for the quality coaching - as a watersports coach myself I appreciate that 1:1, whilst having great benifits, can often be tougher for a coach than a group and a lot of thought, effort, patience and encouragement went in to ensure I got the best from the day. It's always a pleasure to learn from someone with as much passion and apptitude for teaching as for their sport. Thanks also to the wider cyclewise team, a good website, simple booking, your own friendly response to enquiries, a good day on the bike, an easy welcome at the shop with lots of friendly faces and copius quantites of tea, all very much appreciated! I look forward to my next visit.

Skills Courses
Recently I booked a 2 day Core Skills course for my husband as a suprise birthday present. I think he was a bit unsure about what he would learn before he got there but after the first morning he was raving about it. He was particulary impressed with the instructor and couldn't believe how much he learnt in 2 days. He also commented on how firendly and professional everyone who work for cyclewise are. We stayed on in the Lakes for the rest of the week and it was obvious to see the amount of confidence & skill he has gained from the course.

Just completed your Back to Basics course this weekend under the guidance of Nick & James, this was booked for us by a friend and we had a great time. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel completely at ease, with all the sections from bike set up on day 1 to final ride out on day 2, delivered by the guys in a confident and easy to understand manner. No one was made to feel less able than others on the course. We were all impressed by the skill and professionalism shown by Nick & James and they are clearly an assest to your company. I am definitly going to recommend the course to friends and look forward to my next visit to Whinlatter.

Just to say many thanks for the course last weekend. I may be older, female and not particulary confident but I had a great time and learned soo much. Your ability to break down new skills into easy chunks which, when put together, led to us doing wheel lifts etc was amazing. We all had a great time and left feelling more skilled and confident and itching to get out and practice!

Family/Schools & Outdoor Centres
We were holidaying up in Keswick in August and fell upon the cycle centre when we visted Whinlatter Forest. Our boys aged 6 & 8 were both very keen to do the skills course. What great fun and value for money, they have learnt and practised so many basic skills which have hopefully set them up perfectly for the years ahead. Dan kept them fully engaged for the whole session, in fact they enjoyed it so much they did it again a few days later.

Just a quick e-mail now that term has finished to thank you and your company for such an enjoyable and awesome time in the Lakes. Dan was amazing and pitched it just right, allowing the students to develope their skills. All the students returned with a huge smile and only extremely complimentary comments on the experiences they had half suggested that they should have done all 4 days in the saddle!! I also had a fab time, especially being able to keep up and not being last up the hills! We hope we can offer our students a similar course next year.

This weeks Bikeability has been excellent. I must once again compliment the skills and attitudes of your trainers.

Would you please pass on my personal thanks and thanks from the school, children and parents for a very successful Bikeability week. Every child that took part gained so much from the process and will be safer cyclists for it. Many have already been pestering parents to take them cycling more! There we particulary favourable comments for the instructors Ben & Steve and their ability to engage the group. I personally observed a couple of sessions, as did the deputy head and we were both very impressed with both the course content and method of delivery.

Maintenance Courses
Brilliant course, great instructor (Sean) who was very knowlegeable on the subject.

Just a quick note to say thanks again for the really great and informative course at the weekend. We learnt so much and now look forward to putting it into practice.

Bike Hire & Shop
Hired some Mountain Bikes off you a couple of weeks ago and wanted to thank you for the excellent experience. The Service was really good and the quality of kit was spot on and very reasonably priced. We will certainly recommend you should the opportunity arise.

I have been very pleased with the service from Sean & your boys at the shop at Whinlatter - they did a full service on a very old bike that I have and the job they did was great. This is the reason why I have decidied to book onto your Core Skills Course.
